Who killed Lucy Beale? It's the question on every Eastenders fan's lips at the moment - and, after last night's episode, it seems as if Max Branning has been highlighted as a major suspect.

Thursday’s episode saw it confirmed that was Lucy deliberately murdered - and that she knew her killer. Also, the police are aware that she was having an affair.

But the police are none the wiser as to WHERE Lucy was killed. or by WHOM. Or with WHAT.

It's, essentially, a televised game of Cluedo.

However David Wicks was seen accusing Max Branning (who had been enjoying a secret affair with Ian Beale's daughter) of the murder.

And, in spoiler pictures released ahead of tonight's episode, it seems as if his words have shaken Max into action.

Lucy's former fling can be seen worrying when he realises that the CCTV in the car lot has captured incriminating evidence of them arguing.
