We may soon find out, as the Celebrity Big Brother contestant, 40, is being hotly tipped to replace Simon Cowell, 55, on Britain’s Got Talent when he calls it a day.
The music mogul recently admitted he’ll be retiring from TV work in the next couple of years.
He told the Daily Star: “You can’t go on forever. I’ll do a couple more years, sure. I enjoy doing the shows. But I will retire.
“I’ve always only wanted to be on TV as long as I can actually do a good job.”
But TV’s Mr Nasty, who seems to have become Mr Nice since welcoming his first child last year, needn’t worry: acid-tongued Hopkins is ready to fill his high-waisted trousers.
She said: “There is a role for a Miss Nasty on any panel. We don’t have any good Miss Nasties at the moment because everyone wants to be sweet like Cheryl Cole.
“They want to be loved. It would be good to have someone different. There’s absolutely more TV coming up for me.”
Is that a really big hint, or is it just Katie hoping for an offer?
Meanwhile, Amanda Holden has confessed that next year will be her last on the BGT panel. She said: “I think ten years is an amazing feat. After that I want a nice big clock and a holiday in the sun as a retirement package.”
