Earlier this week, Jessie revealed that she’d become a grandma at the age of 50 after her daughter Tallulah, 17, gave birth to a baby boy.
The actor took to Instagram to share an adorable snap of the newborn and shared his name for the first time.
Alongside the black and white photo, Jessie wrote, “Welcome to the world, my grandson SJ. You are loved, cherished and adored.”
The post has since removed from social media, but not before Jessie’s EastEnders could share their congratulations in the comments section.
Lacey Turner, who plays Jessie’s on-screen cousin Stacey Slater, commented, “Beautiful boy,” while Balvinder Sopal, who plays resident baddie Suki Panesar, wrote, “Congratulations.”
Another of Jessie’s followers told her she “don’t look old enough to be a nana yet”.
A source close to the soap star told MailOnline, “Jessie is chuffed to bits about being a grandmother. Her close circle knew Tallulah was pregnant and how excited the family were. They’re both looking forward to making a lifetime of memories.”
