Charlie Brooks hints Janine Butcher could return to Albert Square
EastEnders star Charlie Brooks, who played the infamous Janine Butcher, has spoken out about a possible return to Walford and admitted she could make a comeback in the future.
During her time in Albert Square, Janine pushed Barry Evans off the cliff, she was wrongly charged with the murder of Laura Beale, she poisoned her husband Ryan Malloy and then she killed Michael Moon but blamed it all on Alice Branning.
The last fans saw of the villain was in 2014 shortly after she was found not guilty for killing Michael, she left for Paris to join her daughter Scarlett and her sister Diane.

Carmel Kazemi struggles following the death of Shakil
Following the horrific events from last week's that saw Shakil killed following a knife attack, the rest of the square will be struggling to come to terms about the death of the teenager.

While Denise Fox and Kush Kazemi attempt to comfort Carmel who is grieving for her son, Shakil's dad Umar and his brother Darius arrives on the square desperate to blame someone for the teen's death.

Later on, Carmel notices a shrine for her son in the square and struggling to cope with her loss she begins to tear it apart.

Meanwhile the rest of the residents pay their respect to Shakil in the Queen Vic.

Carmel's friends and family soon become concerned with her when she sets her mind on finding her son's watch that's gone missing. Elsewhere, Kush is surprised when his brother and dad still think he's moving to Dubai and begins to worry about leaving his mum Carmel behind. Just when you think Carmel's been through enough she's left devastated when Umar accidentally lets it slip that Kush may be leaving the square.

Later in the week while Linda Carter arranges a memorial for Shakil in the square, Sharon Mitchell and Denise Fox attempt to encourage Carmel to attend, however she refuses to go.

She later has a change of heart and the rest of the square pay their respect for the teenager during a minute's silence.

E20 is robbed – but who's behind it?
While the rest of the square pay their respect to Shakil, Hunter Owen sneaks Louise Mitchell, Bex Fowler, Tiffany Butcher and Bernadette Taylor into E20. Things begin to escalate between the teenagers when they play a game of spin the bottle.Later on, Tiffany notices Bernadette has been behaving strange, what's behind her sudden change in mood?

Following their time in E20, Louise hears from Sharon and Mel that there's been a break in at the club. She's quick to rush over to warn everyone else and after Hunter sneaks into the club he discovers that the safe has been emptied.Eek!

Jean Slater attempts to get Kat and Alfie Moon to reunite
Over in the Slater household the women ask Hayley all about her boyfriend and she reveals that he treats her like a princess.

Meanwhile Jean makes herself busy seeing a photo of Kat, Alfie Moon and their kids, she decides to take it upon herself and try to reunite them. She even decides to get cheap tickets so Kat can visit her family abroad, however Mo and Stacey are quick to warn Jean to stay out of their drama.

After Jean tells Kat all about her plan, she has to pretend she's not worried and agrees to go.
Hayler Slater blackmails Kat Moon
While Jean is thrilled that Kat's going to Spain to see her family, Hayley who knows that really happened in Spain, begins to wonder why Kat's lying. In case you forgot, Kat and Alfie left the square back in 2016 to go to Spain, however they later decided to go to Redwater in Ireland to find Kat's long-lost son. The EastEnders spinoff ended with Kat falling off a boat following an altercation with her son and Alfie was on the operation table after having a brain tumour.Next week, Hayley will take it upon herself to blackmail Kat – either tell her family the truth of she has to pay Hayley to stay quiet.When Kat prepares to leave the square for Spain, Hayley makes it clear that she's not going anywhere without paying her – will the Slater finally find out what happened between Kat and Alfie? .
Now, the 37-year-old actress has said she wouldn't rule out returning to the square as Janine. In an interview with Woman magazine, she explained: "I look back on my time in EastEnders really fondly. I had a great time.
"I was very fortunate with the character, and got so many wonderful and different storylines, so it was really fun to play."
She then added: "I still speak to some of the cast and I’d never say never to returning. I’ve no idea where Janine’s been or what she’s been up to."
Eek!
This isn't the first time the actress has hinted she'd be up for returning to the BBC show.

Despite not having Janine in Albert Square, Walford is pretty hectic at the moment; Hayley Slater and Kat Moon have been bickering, Masood Ahmed and Ian Beale haven't been the best of business partners and Shakil Kazemi and Keegan Baker were tragically stabbed outside the Queen Vic.
