EastEnders spoilers: a blast from Stuart and Callum Highway's past arrives
Janine's last appearance on EastEnders was in 2014 when she boarded a train at St Pancras station heading for France.
Fans of the show will know that she's one of the most villainous characters we have seen on British soaps – killing three of her four husbands.
She married her first husband Barry for his wealth, then shoved him off a cliff in Scotland.
The second marriage was short-lived when her rich Jewish businessman husband-to-be died of a heart attack at their wedding ceremony.
Janine was also wedded to Ryan Malloy but killed him off as well after she discovered he was in love with Stacey Slater.
She was trialled for the death of her fourth husband, Michael Moon but was found not guilty in court. After being shunned by the locals, Janine left the Square for France, in hopes to be reunited with her daughter Scarlett.
