James Arthur, winner of The X Factor in 2012, has just bagged himself a role in the the world's biggest soap opera in Brazil.
After one of his tracks was featured in the 40-million-viewer Brazilian soap, the X factor champion was flown out to Brazil to start filming of his cameo role.
The 2017 hit Naked was featured in a particularly romantic scene in the soap, O Tempo não Para, which means Time Doesn’t Stop.
James is pictured here with two of his new co-stars, Juliana Paiva and Nicolas Prattes, on Juliana's fan account on Instagram. The pair play a loved-up couple on the show.
The track Naked has become hugely popular in Brazil ever since it was aired on the soap, prompting the producers to invite him to perform live on the show.
According to music industry insiders, the singer will star in an episode where we see him singing in a club that the main characters often visit, playing himself.
James previously told The Sun he wanted to become a "Hollywood film star".
Despite being in the public eye since winning The X Factor, the star maintains: “I have been through and seen so many dramas and traumas and been in so many situations that I can probably interpret a few different characters.”
