The 34-year-old is best known these days for being a panelist on ITV's Loose Women – but she's allegedly snubbing her channel's own flagship reality show.

According to insiders, Superstar hit maker Jamelia has declined an offer to enter the I'm a Celebrity jungle and will instead waltz her way onto the BBC Strictly dance floor.

A friend told The Sun: "Jamelia's been wanted by both shows for a number of years but Strictly makes more sense to her because it will allow her to continue being a mum and to work on Loose Women."

Earlier this year Jamelia took part in Bear Grylls: Misson Survive, and became the second celebrity to be given the boot on day six of the 12 day challenge.

In April the mum-of-one angered Loose Women viewers when she suggested the plus-size clothes shouldn't be sold on the high street.

She said: "I think everyone should have access to lovely clothes, but I do not think it's right to facilitate people living an unhealthy lifestyle.

Earlier this year Jamelia angered viewers with her comments about plus size clothing

"I don't believe stores should stock clothes below or above a certain weight. They should be made to feel uncomfortable when they go in and can't find a size."

The Thank You singer later apologised for her remarks, insisting her intention was not to upset anybody.

She added: "I do stand by what I said. I'm a real woman with real opinions. I get paid to voice my opinions."
