A source said: "Bosses are keen to tap into the continued interest in the storyline, it’s real raw emotion that has had viewers on the edges of their seats."
Ever since the row, Pete has been desperate to win Megan back, telling her most recently: “I want to take you out of Essex and for you to remember what we had. I’m not going to give up on you.”
It seems his campaign is working, and Megan has decided to take him back, after talking it through with friends. But the couple’s new found happiness could be under threat if Jacqui returns – and isn’t that what the bosses are looking for anyway?
Most viewers are rooting for Megan and Pete, and he has seemed genuinely upset at losing Megan, but will his mended ways continue if he gets her back? Was his sexting genuinely not as bad as actually cheating on someone?
