According to the reports, the 66-year-old was escorted by security as she headed back to the Versace Hotel to join axed former camp mates, including Yvette Fielding.
A source told The Sun: "It was a shock. Nobody expected her to get out of the car.
"Security were searching around for onlookers as they didn't want anyone to see her."
But, despite allegations Lady C was forced to quit on medial grounds, the socialite allegedly looked happy as she returned to civilisation.
The source continued: "She looked her usual chirpy self and was laughing and joking with the security guards.
"She was led through the hotel very quickly and taken to a private room. [Her son] Dima was called over by producers and ran over to the car immediately. He was shocked to see her."
During her time in the jungle Lady C clashed with many of her fellow celebrities. The outspoken royal biographer branded dancer Brian Friedman a "b****", singer Tony Hadley a "fat blob" and entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne a "goat".
Viewers took to Twitter of course to express their relief about her leaving:

Herclaims of being bullied (and Duncan Bannatyne's response) has also sparked debate online:
Possibly our favorite part of Twitter has to be the comedy moments that viewers and ITV alike have shared as a fond farewell to the most outspoken contestant.
