Scream- 'What's your favourite scary movie'
Who could possibly forget this terrifying opening scene? Drew Barrymore is stalked relentlessly by a creepy caller who shows up at her door in THAT Scream mask. Anybody else scared to be home alone after watching this cult teen flick?
Insidious- the 'tulips' song
This creepy song only adds to the spookiness of this quite frankly terrifying scene. Anyone else notice the little boy in the corner of the screen at 0.33?
28 Days Later- walking through London
After being knocked off his bike into a coma, Jim wakes up four weeks later in a post-apocalyptic London, abandoned after a zombie-like 'rage' virus takes hold. This eery scene wil send shivers down your spine with every watch.
Carrie- Prom scene
When her bullies are banned from the school prom, Carrie is delighted when the 'cutest boy in school' chooses her as her date. Going against her abusive mother's wishes, Carrie attends and is crowned Prom Queen but is left with a bit more than a tiara. Little do her pranksters know, she is capable of FAR worse...
The Shining- ‘Here’s Johnny’
One of the most famous scenes in cinema history, what could be more terrifying than an axe-yielding murderer breaking down your door?
The Omen- The nanny's suicide
This scene is particularly disturbing. Anti-christ Damien's nanny chooses to hang herself from the top window of his parent's oppulent mansion. The only thing is that it's during Damien's birthday party and in front of lots of little children. Twisted and terrifying proof of Damien's evil character. Boy devil, indeed.
Halloween- The closet scene
This is the reason why you should NEVER hide in the closet should a masked murderer ever break into your house. Keep those panic buttons close by tonight.
Silence of the Lambs- 'I ate his liver'
Anthony Hopkins won an Oscar for his role as Hannibal Lector in Silence of the Lambs, and we can see why. His voice gives us the shivers every time we give this horror classic a watch.
Final Destination 3- the sunbed scene
Right, we're never going on a sunbed again. End of.
Psycho- shower scene
This scene set the precedent for nearly all horror movies made following the release of Hitchcock classic 'Psycho'. Anyone else swapping their shower curtains for a screen after viewing this?
