It’s official; Sophie Austin is leaving Hollyoaks.

And that means we will be saying goodbye to her on-screen alter egeo, Lindsey Roscoe, in the not-so-distant future.

The 31-year-old actress told Digital Spy: "When the producers told me that Lindsey was behind the murders I was thrilled to rise to the challenge - even though I knew it meant that she wouldn't be staying in the village forever."

So what can we expect from Sophie’s final scenes?

And, more importantly, how will Lindsey leave Hollyoaks Village - in a taxi bound for the airport, in a police car… or in a coffin?

Well, Sophie has explained that her final scenes will be VERY intense - even more so as she’s been filming alongside Mercedes McQueen actress Jennifer Metcalfe and Silas Blissett actor Jeff Rawle.

Refusing to reveal TOO many juicy details, she said: “All I will say is I've been filming a lot with Jen Metcalfe and she has unfinished business with Silas.

"Whether it's the end of the road for Lindsay, you'll have to wait and see."

Lindsey was revealed to be the Gloved Hand Killer during the Channel 4 show’s explosive Killer 20th Anniversary Week.

However, despite views being well and truly aware of her murderous streak, she has continued to dispose of evidence (and witnesses!) as she evades the police.

Lindsey even allowed her beloved sister Kim (Daisy Wood-Davis) to be arrested for her crimes - presumably due to the fact that she recently found out she is pregnant.

Perhaps she wanted to remain a free woman so that she can raise her baby?

Sophie previously told the Daily Star that she would love to see Lindsey get her comeuppance, insisting she’s “hurt too many people” to continue living life as a free woman.

Meanwhile Jeff Rawle, who plays Silas, told Unreality TV: “That man is never going to be redeemed. There is no way back for him now.

“I think he’s probably out to destroy himself.”

He added cryptically: “I love the idea of a gloved killer on the loose and I’m sure the writers have something excellent up their sleeve.”

Do you think Silas will kill off Lindsey?
