Err, has Hollyoaks' Duncan James just proved Ryan Knight did NOT kill Amy Barnes?
Hollyoaks viewers Duncan James has just made a shocking confession about his character which means he actually might not have killed his wife Amy Barnes.
Ever since Amy was tragically killed in Hollyoaks we've all been wondering who killed her. Back in March Kieron Richardson, who plays Ste Hayes, appeared on This Morning and hinted that he might have accidentally killed the mother of his children.
Opening up to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Scofield, she said: "All I'm going to say is Ashley Slanina-Davies who plays Amy Barnes is an absolutely fantastic episode, even in the final scenes when I was… with my…"
After realizing he literally had said too much, he added: "I can't really concentrate right now because I feel like I might have just lost my job."
But then it came to light that he might have been lying throughout that interview. Holly and Phil literally couldn’t believe it when they discovered the truth and neither could we.
Since then, Kieron's character Ste Hayes has been arrested on suspicion of killing Amy but in upcoming scenes he will explain to his Harry and Tony that he actually thinks the real culprit is Ryan Knight. However, it turns out that it's unlikely that Ryan murdered Amy because he was actually sleeping with someone else on that night.
Duncan James gave the shocking secret away on This Morning, he explained: "Ryan has got so many different sides to his character and there's quite a lot of darkness in there."
He then went on to reveal that another resident knows where he really was during that night: "Adam Rickett’s character Kyle has made quite a big impact coming into the show and obviously he has a big secret.
“And his secret is that he was with Ryan on the night of the wedding when Amy was getting killed."
Well, we didn't see that coming.
Although, Duncan still doesn't know if his character killed his on-screen wife because the producers might have something else up their sleeves.
He added: "You never know with the time frames.
"I could have killed her and then slept with him, I still don't know if I've done it or not."
This is Hollyoaks after all – stranger things have happened.
