If you thought that the Gloved Hand Killer was going to leave Hollyoaks quietly, think again.

In upcoming scenes, viewers will watch as Lindsey Roscoe (Sophie Austin) is left very vulnerable as she goes into early labour.

A Hollyoaks insider told Digital Spy: "Lindsey's labour scenes will involve a number of characters, including Kim - who once again has to decide how willing she is to help her unstable sister.

"As fans know, the baby's father is Freddie Roscoe, so the other big question is whether he'll get the chance to raise his child in the village or whether Lindsey will stand in the way."

After a very dramatic labour, full of plenty of shock twists and turns, Lindsey welcomes a baby boy - who is named JJ (aka Joe Junior), after Joe Roscoe.

However, due to being a named serial killer, Lindsey is forced to go on the run again, leaving her baby in the care of his ‘dad’ Joe.

And it seems as if she’s willing to do ANYTHING to be close to her son.

Hollyoaks fans will watch as Joe (Ayden Callaghan) leaves JJ in the care of Lindsey’s sister, Kim (Daisy Wood-Davis) when he’s called out on a plumbing emergency.

However, when he arrives at the job, he soon discovers that Kim had an ulterior motive all along - and soon finds himself handcuffed to a bannister alongside a terrified Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe).

It’s not long before a disguised Lindsey is en route to meet up with Kim and be reunited with her baby… but, with Silas Blissett looming on the sidelines, it seems as if not all is as it appears.

After all, he recently found out a LOT of stuff about Lindsey that he didn’t like… has he changed his allegiance?

And, if so, will the serial killer finally be able to bring Lindsey’s story to a heart-stopping close?

Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays Mercedes McQueen, told Daily Star Online that viewers CAN expect a big fat twist.

"It's been amazing and I can't wait for it to be on screen. It comes to, I wouldn't say an end, but it comes to a climax.

"I think it's brilliant and theres a fantastic twist which I'm very much involved in."

Well, Sophie has explained that her final scenes will be VERY intense - even more so as she’s been filming alongside Mercedes McQueen actress Jennifer Metcalfe and Silas Blissett actor Jeff Rawle.

Refusing to reveal TOO many juicy details, she said: “All I will say is I've been filming a lot with Jen Metcalfe and she has unfinished business with Silas.

"Whether it's the end of the road for Lindsay, you'll have to wait and see."

Lindsey was revealed to be the Gloved Hand Killer during the Channel 4 show’s explosive Killer 20th Anniversary Week.

However, despite viewers being well and truly aware of her murderous streak, she has continued to dispose of evidence (and witnesses!) as she evades the police.

Lindsey even allowed her beloved sister Kim (Daisy Wood-Davis) to be arrested for her crimes - presumably due to the fact that she recently found out she is pregnant.

Perhaps she wanted to remain a free woman so that she can raise her baby?

Sophie previously told the Daily Star that she would love to see Lindsey get her comeuppance, insisting she’s “hurt too many people” to continue living life as a free woman.

Meanwhile Jeff Rawle, who plays Silas, told Unreality TV: “That man is never going to be redeemed. There is no way back for him now.

“I think he’s probably out to destroy himself.”

He added cryptically: “I love the idea of a gloved killer on the loose and I’m sure the writers have something excellent up their sleeve.”

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first look screenings at 7pm on E4.

Do you think Silas will kill off Lindsey?
