If there’s one thing we know about Christmas in the soaps, it’s this; it will NEVER be very merry.
And it seems as if things are really going to heat up in Hollyoaks this December.
Leela Lomax, as fans of the soap will be all too aware, fled the village when she learned that her husband Ziggy Roscoe was in love with her sister Tegan.
But, before she left, she made sure to tell Cameron Campbell that she was taking their daughter, Peri, with her - and that he’d never see either of them again.
As it turns out, she was horribly mistaken.
As Christmas approaches, Cameron spots Ziggy buying a present for Peri, and follows him to the house.
Listening at the door, he soon overhears Leela insisting that her daughter has no father - and that she will never forgive Cameron for killing her parents Sam and Danny in that shock car crash.
Cue Cameron vowing to kill Leela… and Leela waking up to the smell of gas inside her home.
She soon discovers that the door is locked and she can't get out, just as Ziggy arrives to talk with her.
Will his desperate attempt to save her work? Or will Cameron follow through with his twisted plan?
We guess we’ll just have to wait to find out this Christmas!
