Theresa McQueen has been a firm Hollyoaks favourite since she first appeared on 24th November 2008.
Throughout Theresa’s time on the show she has had relationships with Dodger Savage (Danny Mac), Will Savage (James Atherton) and Joel Dexter (Andrew Still) and Patrick Blake (Jeremy Sheffield), which led to her discovering his MND.
But now, after over seven and a half years of dodging serial killers, teenage pregnancies, murdering Calvin Valentine (Ricky Whittle) and escaping prison, she’s set to leave the soap tonight in an emotional twist of events.
But will her character be killed off for good?
The actress said: "I have loved playing Theresa McQueen and am so sad to leave Hollyoaks but I have hugely enjoyed my exit plot.
“Viewers will have to watch tonight to see whether it really is the end of Theresa.”
Jorge continued: "When I look back, the crew and staff at Hollyoaks have had such a major part in my life from youth to young adulthood and I will miss working with everyone.
"Being on the show has led to me working with fantastic actors and directors and making friends for life. I laughed every single day on set."
Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood added: "Theresa McQueen will always have a special place in my heart and those of the audience.
"Jorgie made Theresa pocket-sized soap icon and a ball of energy on set, I know that she will go on to do great things and the cast and crew will miss her greatly."
It’s not the first time that Jorgie has taken a break from Hollyoaks.
After a short four month hiatus, Theresa Mariah Magdalene McQueen returned to our screens on 25 August 2014.
But, with rumours that the actress is planning to pursue a career in Hollywood afoot, it seems as if her departure may be more… well, permanent this time around.
Especially now that Nico Blake (Persephone Swales-Dawson) is involved!
Could the murderous teen be set to silence Theresa forever over that spiked bottle of wine?
Could Theresa return to the hospital for an innocent checkup - and find herself targeted by the Gloved Hand Killer?
Or could Theresa be set to leave Hollyoaks village for her very own happy-ever-after?
Jorgie Porter's scenes will air on E4's first look episode at 7pm.
