And now there's a new face in town ready to shake things up even more.
Amy Robbins is set to guest star in the soap as Scott Drinkwell's estranged mum and sister to Diane Hutchinson (played by Alex Fletcher), Lynette Drinkwater.
While Lynette arrives in town to comfort her son following the departure of John Paul McQueen (James Sutton), she also has a total bombshell up her sleeve.
The pair apparently begin their reunion by enjoying a few drinks together, but Scott’s mum starts worrying about him after he knocks a few too many drinks back.
To make matters worse, Lynette also has some drastic news for her son after their lovely reunion.
The actress is best known for her role as Jill in The Royal, but she’s excited about bringing her acting talents to the Channel 4 soap.
"It's great to be a part of the Hollyoaks family,” she said.
"I've been made to feel so welcome as the newest member of the Drinkwell clan. They're so lovely and such fun.”
We can’t wait to see the drama she brings to the show!
