If you’re anything like us, you’re a quiet addict of ITV’s The Chase.
So we imagine that you will have DEFINITELY tuned in for the recent celebrity special of the hit gameshow, which sees contestants go up against the brainbox ‘chasers’ of the show.
Jennifer Metcalfe - who plays Mercedes McQueen in Hollyoaks - appeared on the show alongside Michael Parr and Bill Turnball.
However, while the actress gave it her all, the brunette beauty seemed to struggle with some of the questions.
And, at one point, she was forced to “pass” - despite the fact she’d hit the buzzer in the first place!
While there’s no denying that the soapstar was a good sport about it all (she smiled all through Bradley Walsh’s teasing!), some viewers have taken to Twitter to mock her performance.
Some trolls even went so far as to slam her as a ‘moron’ and ‘thick as two short planks’.
Ouch.
People can be mean, can’t they?
However she did have at least ONE supporter out there…
Choosing to retweet this message into her timeline, Jennifer said: “Thank you… I think?”
Despite her apparent lack of general knowledge on the show, Jennifer Metcalfe and her teammates still pocketed a cool 18K.
The celebs split the winnings between their chosen charities - and Bowel Cancer UK made sure to thank Jen for her donation.
A fan added: “Lost my uncle to Bowel Cancer nearly a month ago, so was amazing to see @missjenjomet donate her winnings from The Chase to that!”
