Hollyoaks are revealing a brand new title sequence on Monday September 5 as they launch a fresh autumn season with a host of new characters including Dallas legend Linda Grey.

Show bosses have created a new logo and tweaked the long-standing theme tune.

Subtle changes were made to the current titles back in March 2016 but the rolling character sequence has been around since September 2010{ =nofollow}.

The new titles have been filmed around the village so the tried and tested format is getting a real shake-up.

They’ll include familiar locations including The Dog, The Tugboat, The Folly and – wait for it – a sexy hot tub scene!

Sean Glynn, a regular director on the show, is responsible for the new style.

He’s also created new ‘break bumpers’ that appear before and after the adverts. Different shots of our favourite characters will now appear instead of the Hollyoaks logo.

Executive producer Bryan Kirkwood confirmed the show’s taste for big stunts is set to continue with a Halloweeen ‘fright night’ special.

He said: "Love is in the air with a double McQueens wedding in October.

"But happiness will be fleeting for some as we head towards the autumn stunt, which this year will be set at a Halloween party with a maze - not of the variety that you would want to get lost in."

The scary turn of events should be highlight of what’s set to be a stellar season.
