Hollyoaksviewers were estatic to find out that Davinia Taylor was reprising her role as Jude Cunningham - yep, Chester's very own money-grabbing con-artist - after a mammoth 18 years away from the hit soap.

Davinia has also teased a permanent return for her character, despite the soap recently airing a brief exit for the scheming character as Jude had no choice but to flee after all the devastation at the Halloween fayre (with her scam cash firmly in tow).

She said: "It’s been fantastic, Stephanie Waring and I have been having an absolute ball. The Halloween night shoots had a huge euphoria as after it hits 4am – the whole cast and crew were literally out of their minds.

"I felt like 'wow, I’ve really made it being able to come back'."

Executive producer Brian Kirkwood was so keen on getting Jude and Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) back together once more that he pulled out all the stops to get Davinia to say yes.

And Davinia was chuffed with the reaction to her return, with many older Hollyoaks coming forward to congratulate her on her return.

We caught up with the hilarious twosome at an exclusive Hollyoaks screening and they certainly didn't dissapoint. Watch the video above and get ready to howl with laughter!
