A new Hollyoaks trailer has just dropped and it contains some disturbing scenes which will leave fans wondering if Ste could kill Amy...
Wow. The new Hollyoaks trailer for next week's dramatic wedding and sad death of Amy Barnes has just landed - and it's pretty epic. As fans of the show know Ste (Kieron Richardson) used to beat Amy (Ashley Slanina Davis) when they were teenagers living together as boyfriend and girlfriend. The storyline was highly controversial at the time. In one horrible scene, Ste even cut Amy's beautiful long hair off.
But they've been through a lot since then. Ste came out as gay, he's been the victim of domestic abuse himself at the hands of Brendan Brad, and they've reconciled as friends and co-parents to Leah and Lucas. And they really do care about each other deeply. So could Ste really be involved in Amy's death?
As the trailer shows, Ste gives Amy his blessing as she prepares to walk down the aisle to Ryan Knight (Duncan James). Ste and Ryan haven’t seen eye to eye since they met last year, with Ryan always pushing Amy to distance herself from her abusive ex.
However, Ste came out on top when everyone found out that Ryan had cheated on Amy with Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) and Ryan left for Canada on his own. Ryan returns to Hollyoaks tonight (Wed 22 March) on E4 at 7pm and asks Amy to go ahead with their pre-planned wedding.
It takes a lot for Ste to give them his blessing, but he finally does and Amy and Ryan tie the knot in a beautiful ceremony, which airs on Friday 24 March, E4 at 7pm. What Ste doesn’t know is that Ryan has asked Amy and her children, Leah and Lucas to move to America with him.
In the trailer, Amy is emotional as she watches Ste with their children later in the day. But Ste is then seen banging on her front door and pleading to Amy’s dad that he “would never hurt her” only for Mike (Tony Hirst) to reply with “except for when you hit her”. What has sparked this dramatic turn of events? Amy orders Ste to “get out” of her flat as flashbacks to their teenage years hint to their abusive past, while intercutting with them pushing and shoving each other in the present day, is this linked to Amy’s death?
Whatever the case, next week is certainly a week of episodes not to be missed!
