Holly Willoughby lashes out at benefits mum: ‘How do you sleep at night?!’

A mother-of-twelve appeared on This Morning and stunned viewers when she openly admitted that she claims £40,000 a year in benefits and is now looking for a sperm donor for her thirteenth child.

Cheryl Prudham revealed on the ITV show that she has “nothing to be sorry for” – which outraged viewers at home, as well as presenter Holly Willoughby.

Whilst boasting about her recent family holiday to Majorca, her designer handbag and plans for a boob job, Holly couldn’t contain her disapproval and asked: “How can you sleep at night?”

Highlighting that others struggle to receive benefits they deserve, using an example of young children looking after their disabled parents, Holly then said, agitated by the single mum’s admittance:

“You know how important your kids are to you. That person with a young carer. That child is equally important to them. But they haven’t got their money, because where is it going? Into your pocket.”

After denying that she gets more money than others, Cheryl stated: “I think about my own family. I'm not the one who makes up the rules. I see it there are 12 future taxpayers.

“Let's be honest - everybody who is slating me - most get child benefits. I'm not claiming income support and I'm doing my best.”

Cheryl also admitted that she only works as a cleaner for 16 hours a week to avoid the £26,000 benefit cap.

And after revealing that she’s “addicted” to having babies, Cheryl also discussed how she wants to conceive her next child using taxpayer funded artificial insemination – because she finds it difficult to trust a man.

In an interview with us last week, Cheryl said: “I was hurt by Robert [her ex-husband] and find it difficult to trust again. Besides, how would I find a guy willing to take on all my children?

“But I'm feeling broody again as my youngest is nearly a year old and I miss having a newborn in my arms. I would love a boy next.

“Signing up to a donor website is the perfect solution. I want a smart, good-looking man who'll donate sperm for artificial insemination – I want nothing to do with him after that.”

And on This Morning, Holly was rather upset by Cheryl wanting a thirteenth child. She questioned: “Lots of people would like a second or third child but can’t afford it.

“Do you think it’s fair you’re in this situation now, having a thirteenth child?”

And it seems viewers weren’t happy with Cheryl’s admission either.
