As Holby City fans will know, Doctor Arthur Digby (Rob Ostlere) discovered that he had cancer when he underwent compatibility tests to see if he could be a donor.
His colleague, transplant coordinator Essie, spotted an irregular-looking mole on Arthur's back, which later was revealed to be cancerous.
Arthur went on to have the mole removed - and life seemed as if it would return to normal for the Holby favourite.
Unfortunately for the bright young doctor, however, the cancer soon returned, with secondary tumours attacking his lungs.
Since then, he's been bravely battling chemotherapy, not to mention to take stock of all the things in life that are most important to him.
So, after a drunken night out with Dominic (David Ames) and Zosia (Camilla Arfwedson), Arthur and Morven make a shock decision to tie the knot at the hospital chapel.
While their last-minute wedding plans leave their friends and colleagues rattled, it seems as if Arthur has an ulterior motive.
It’s not long before he’s tracked down Sacha - and begged him for an immediate endoscopy.
When the results come in, they make Arthur even more determined to marry the love of his life as soon as possible.
Arthur heads off to tell Morven (Eleanor Fanyinka) about his results, but, before he can say a word, her father reveals there is a new medical trial in Australia that he could put Arthur forward for… all funded by him as a wedding present.
Arthur decides his news can wait, instead agreeing to look at the information for the medical trial.
But when Sacha (Bob Barrett) later tracks him down, he soon convinces Arthur that it’s wrong to keep secrets from Morven - and gently persuades him to tell her the truth about his results.
Will Arthur have good news for his bride - is his cancer showing signs of remission?
Or will he, as many fans fear, break Morven’s heart with a truly tragic revelation?
We really hope that it's the former; we dthink Arthur deserves his happy ever after by this point, don't you?
