Remember the good ole days, when Phill and Grant Mitchell used to rule Walford by grunting and looking ‘ard a lot? The shiny-headed duo were as iconic as the Queen Vic bust. Yet, all good things have to come to an end and Grant swanned off to Portugal and Phill. Well. Phill is buying one too many bottle of gin from the Minute Mart and impregnanting half of the Square. Kinda.
SO, imagine our delight when Ross Kemp hints at Grant's return to the soap. He told the Metro at the NTA’s. ‘I think you always say “never say never” – I went back earlier this year and they say a change is as good as a rest so it was great to go back.’
Never say never, eh. Unfinished business when we ever did see it. We predict Grant will be back just in time for next Christmas’s sexy showdown. Mark our words.
He also commented on THAT Roxy and Ronnie death, which we are still waking up in cold sweats about. Why couldn’t Ronnie get her happily ever after?! It’s more annoying then the heart-breaking fact we aren’t married to Martin Fowler. Yet.
‘Yeah it was a bit of a shock for everyone – but that’s what the nature of soap is. They change characters and you have to be aware if you’re in a soap like that, you may end up in a bus crash or in a river. That’s why people watch them.’
Talking of busses, did you see the entire Eastender’s cast LIFT a bus? No, but they actually did lift it in real life. A different approach to a team-building day and we think we will stick with our mind mapping sessions in the staffroom thanks.
