Following the phenomenal success of the 2008 comedy about the ‘world’s worst dog’, television producers are reportedly keen to cash in on more tales about the naughty puppy.
According to Hollywood reported, NBC has ordered a pilot to be made, which will see characters John and Jenny Grogan (played by Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston in the original film) move back to Florida and adopt a new puppy.
The couple decide to name her Marley after putting the collar of their legendary golden Labrador on the new family member.
The stray puppy is reportedly set to be just as destructive (though just as loving) as her predecessor.
It has not yet been announced who will take on the role of John and Jenny Grogan in the TV spin-off.

Former Sex and the City writer Jenny Bicks is reportedly gearing up to write the script for the pilot and the film’s director, David Frankel, is reportedly set to direct the first episode.
The original ‘Marley and Me’ movie (based on a collection of short stories by the real-life John Grogan) generated $243 million at the box office, and still remains firm favourite of animal lovers.
