Chris Steed and Stephen Webb - aka two of the funniest Gogglebox stars ever - may be set to quit the show, in order to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.
A source tells The Sun: “The show’s producers are really keen to get them on and would be happy to pay up to £500,000 to see it happen.
“Everyone’s really excited at the prospect because they are so dynamic and they already know they make great TV.
“They're fan favourites and their dry humour is bound to be hilarious in the house.”
Yeah, sure, it all sounds great on paper.
But if Chris and Steve DO go in the Celebrity Big Brother house, then… well, then we won’t have them on Gogglebox anymore!
The folk over at Channel 4’s Gogglebox are pretty strict about their contributors starring in other reality TV shows.
Which means that Chris and Steve will have to terminate their contract with Gogglebox if they decide they do want to try CBB.
They wouldn’t be the first Gogglebox stars to enter the Big Brother house; George Gilbey, who also appears on the show, left temporarily to join the likes of Lauren Goodger and Stephanie Pratt for the fourteenth series of the show.
And we can see WHY Channel 5 would want them so badly; after all, they are absolutely hilarious - and guaranteed to be great tv.
We guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens, eh?
