CHLOE SIMS AND GEMMA COLLINS 'BATTLE' FOR PLACE IN I'M A CELEBRITY JUNGLE
Speaking to Digital Spy, Gemma said: "I think there comes a time on TOWIE when you feel a bit in yourself you've done what you can and you want to spread your wings.
"The show's great. It leaves the door open for us now. It wasn't like that earlier on in the day but the door is open so you can go off for a little bit and come back."
When asked about friend Sam Faiers, Gemma added: "Hopefully we'll see her again in the near future – it would be great to have her back. It would be great to have everyone back – bring Lauren back, bring them all back."
Gemma also discussed Lauren's appearance on Celebrity Big Brother. She said: "It's a shame because you could see, watching her on the show, obviously her insecurities do come through.
"But I don't think there was anything to dislike about her on the show, and I think people probably thought, 'Yeah, she's just a normal lovely girl', so please God she's feeling better in herself. It's not nice to see her cry."
Gemma and the rest of the current TOWIE gang are currently filming the Ibiza special, which will kick of the new series next month.
