First Dates is, without a doubt, one of our absolute favourite shows ever.
So it makes sense that they’ve created a brand-new version of the show for our Irish neighbours - aptly named First Dates Ireland.
However the show has already made headlines for all the wrong reasons after one of the blind dates was revealed to have been charged for harassment.
Eep.
Daphney Sanasie - who appeared as Federica Sanasie on the show - made a big impression on viewers almost immediately.
From asking her date about his “doodle”, to subjecting him to the ‘breast smother test’, the 25-year-old was definitely a force to be reckoned with.
And, after asking him to guess her age, viewers were amused when hapless Lee predicted that Frederica was 29…
Which, naturally, earned him a less than friendly look.
However it has now been revealed that Frederica appeared in court for allegedly harassing Masterchef’s Dylan McGrath.
According to The Irish Examiner, Frederica “appeared in court in April for allegedly harassing the Masterchef star between September 9 and November 21 last year.”
She was charged with harassment and remanded on bail until May 27.
Speaking with The Independent, First Dates sources insisted that full background checks were completed on each of the people who applied to appear on the show.
"Background checks were done on all the applicants, as far as the law allows," the source said.
"They are also required to fill out a personal disclosure form."
