Robert and Andy Sugden could come together in an upcoming storyline, after Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) is framed for a crime he didn’t commit.

The brothers have not seen eye to eye over the years, as the pair has been involved in some pretty explosive storylines.

Robert (played then by Christopher Smith) had an affair with Andy’s wife Katie Addyman years ago, which Andy planned to shoot his brother in revenge, but his foster dad Jack was shot instead.

And just last year, Robert (now played by Ryan Hawley) accidentally killed Katie (Sammy Winward) after she found out he was cheating on wife Chrissie White with Aaron Livesy.

Andy eventually found out about Robert and Aaron (Danny Miller)’s affair, and that his brother was responsible for Katie’s death. He then teamed up with Ross Barton, who eventually shoots Robert.

But next week, Andy will be framed for the murder of Lawrence White – when he is shot by his own grandson Lachlan (Thomas Atkinson) after he becomes tired of Lawrence (John Bowe)’s cruel taunts.

However, after Lawrence’s daughter / Lachlan’s mum / Andy’s girlfriend – Chrissie (Louise Marwood) - learns that Andy has cheated on her with Bernice, she decides to tell the police it was Andy that shot Lawrence.

Did you keep up with that?

Speaking to the Mirror, Louise revealed: "Andy is going to bear the brunt of all the damage that Chrissie has suffered over the years.

“This is the catalyst that makes her snap.”

It seems that Chrissie is going to have a change in character after her shocking decision, and Louise revealed that Chrissie “relishes” what she finds in herself.

Eep!

But will Robert put aside his differences with his brother to help him avoid a jail sentence for something he didn’t do?

We'll have to wait and see...
