Matty Barton snogs a girl before Victoria Sugden tells her about his gender reassignment in next week's Emmerdale
We've watched Victoria Sugden fall for Matty Barton ever since he returned to the village a couple of months ago, but it doesn't look like anything's going to blossom between the pair any time soon.
In fact, Matty has planned a date with Abby who he recently met out. Victoria is evidently jealous (well, not that Matty notices this).
Matty thinks that Abby pulls out of the date and asks Victoria to celebrate his birthday with him instead. But when Abby pulls through for him again, Matty forgets to get in touch with Victoria and cancel his plans with her. OH DEAR.
The date goes super well and they even enjoy a snog. Matty is so loved up that he confides in Victoria he's going to tell Abby about his sex transition.
When Victoria bumps into Abby crying, she thinks she's reacted badly to Matty's news and has a go at her. But it turns out that Matty hadn't even got round to talking to Abby yet.
Basically, Victoria puts her foot in it BIG time.
Abby is confused, Matty is furious, Victoria is mortified and we're left wondering if this is going to be one of those love stories that's dragged out until Christmas.
Just tell him you dig him, Victoria!

The next day, Victoria asks Charity Dingle and Marlon Dingle for the day off to go out with Matty but later, tries to hide her disappointment when he instead meets up with Abby.

As Matty and Abby get closer and kiss, a fed-up Victoria looks away. Unaware he is rubbing salt into her wound, Matty tells Victoria he's going to tell Abby about his transition.

Later, when Victoria finds Abby crying she assumes Matty told her about his transition and lashes out at her for not understanding. Victoria is then mortified when she realises Abby didn't know after all.

Lachlan sneaks through the woods and watches the security guard walk away before heading towards the cabin he held Rebecca White in. Inside, Lachlan notices the message Rebecca wrote about him and tries to erase the words but is interrupted by Priya's arrival.
