Debbie was left mortified when her husband Pete Barton confessed to 'killing' his brother Ross, after finding out about their affair.
Of course Ross wasn't actually dead and was simply plotting his revenge, but that didn't stop Debbie from walking out on Pete.
Now Ross is back, and Debbie is slowly falling for his charms again. But their reunion plans come as a surprise to the Bartons – and Chas warns Debbie to stay away from him.
But Michael Parr, who plays Ross, insists Ross and Debbie will get back together. He told Radio Times: "[They're] very volatile. They're a couple who are constantly breaking up and getting back together.
"But they genuinely care about each other. They just don't know how to handle each other's feelings. They're very passionate people."
With Ross slowly working down Debbie, part one of his plan is almost complete.
Part two is his sinister revenge plot for Pete. After Pete's vicious attack on him, leaving him for dead, Ross is furious.
He plans to kill his brother and set it up to look like a suicide, in harrowing scenes that will air next week.
