The struggling mum takes her baby to hospital and leaves him!
Poor Moira has been struggling to cope. Not surprising really seeing as she’s given birth to baby she never knew she was pregnant with and has recently been left in a burning barn to die!
Next week, and with her health still fragile following all the smoke inhalation she suffered, she implodes when her little tot won’t stop crying.
The desperate mum decides to make an emergency appointment with her GP but when the doc diagnoses colic, Moira is certain there’s much more to it than that.
Natlie J Robb who plays Moira says, ‘Her hormones are raging. Moira doesn’t know how she feels about her son, she’s numb and in shock.”
Later on, and with the baby still howling, the frantic farmer whose newborn was briefly snatched by Emma before she plunged to her death, is certain there’s something seriously wrong with her little boy’s health. She makes a rushed hospital dash but she soon becomes overwhelmed with everything and in the heat of the moment, leaves the tot there and beats a hasty retreat to Butler’s Farm!
“On top of everything Moira’s got the baby blues”, says Natalie. “It’s just too much. It’s close to the anniversary of the death of her daughter Hollly and if she loses him she just couldn’t cope with that.”
When Faith learns what’s happened she’s terrified Social Services will get involved and tries to cover up Moira’s actions. Meanwhile, Cain, who is the baby’s father, is worried not only for the little newborn but also about his ex-wife’s state of mind.
He goes to see Moira, who's been reunited with her son, at home and tries to reassure her that everything is going to be ok. But is it? Are Social Services about to get involved and is Moira at risk of losing her baby?
Will Cain stand by Moira and be there to support her through this difficult time and depsite his realtionship with Harriet, could there even be a reunion between the two?
