The drama in the Dales is set to increase in coming weeks, as someone else is dropped into the shocking child abuse storyline.

As Chas Dingle [Lucy Pargeter] continues to fight for justice for son Aaron Livesy [Danny Miller], George Sampson’s character Ryan makes an appearance – and it seems he’s connected to Gordon [Gary Mavers].

Viewers recently saw Aaron report dad Gordon to the police, after the heartbreaking revelation that he raped him as a child.

Robert catches Chas vandalising Gordon's car

Gordon attempted to threaten his son to change his story, but the troubled mechanic fled the Village – leaving Chas and his married lover Robert Sugden [Ryan Hawley] to bring the sick abuser down.

Although it’s been confirmed George’s character will be involved in the storyline, it’s unclear if Ryan is one of Gordon’s other victims.

Discussing his new role, former Britain’s Got Talent winner George told the Manchester Evening News: “I was crazy nervous. It was because I didn’t realise the scale of things and how big it is and how many teams there are.”

Aaron finds out another of Gordon's victims has come forward

During Ryan’s first scenes, Robert will catch Chas vandalising Gordon’s car – after he agreed to help her get revenge on her ex-husband.

But, while Robert wants nothing more than to bring Gordon down, he thinks Chas’ actions could cause more harm than good for Aaron.

Earlier this week it was revealed the police will tell Aaron another man has come forward, claiming Gordon also abused him, meaning they now how enough evidence to charge his dad.

George will make his debut on Monday.
