Last night (11 August), viewers watched as Andy Sugden (Kelvin Fletcher) escaped from the courtroom, after he was set for the murder of Lawrence White by his girlfriend Chrissie White.
Lawrence (John Bowe) was actually shot by his grandson Lachlan White (Thomas Atkinson) after he had enough of his grandfather’s cruel taunts.
But Lachlan’s mum Chrissie – after finding out Andy had cheated on her with Bernice – decided to tell the police it was her boyfriend that shot her father.
And now Andy – after breaking out of custody with help from his lawyer – is on the run.
Police are now swarming Home Farm in case Andy returns for revenge, leaving Chrissie on edge, as she knows he will try to find out the truth and clear his name.
But will Andy return to Emmerdale to seek the truth?
And will his return lead to his character’s exit?
As we know, Kelvin is leaving the ITV soap, after playing his character for 20 years.
A source told The Sun recently: "Kelvin is a soap legend and will be sorely missed by Emmerdale and viewers. Bosses have managed to keep him leaving top secret, but now the cat is out of the bag.
"Producers have given him a big, dramatic exit. It's going to be the perfect way to see off Andy."
Could Andy meet a bitter end? Or will we see one of the soap’s beloved characters exit the Yorkshire Dales on a happy note?
We will have to wait and see!
