Andy Sugden
Top of our suspect list is Robert’s brother Andy. He recently found out the shocking truth about his wife Katie’s death – realising his brother’s involvement.
Andy is understandably furious and informs the police, but Robert is later released from custody. Will heartbroken Andy attempt to get justice for his wife?
Chrissie Sugden
She’s the scorned wife, and Chrissie has every reason to want Robert dead. Not only has she had to deal with the pain of his affair with Aaron, but she’s now facing trial for a crime her husband pushed her to commit.
After finding out about his betrayal, Chrissie attempted to get revenge by burning his beloved car. But the blaze caused an explosion which resulted in Val Pollard’s death.
With Chrissie now feeling as though she has nothing left to lose, it wouldn’t be surprising if she’s angry enough to pull the trigger…
Aaron Livesy
Poor Aaron has spent much of the last year fighting his feelings for married Robert, who has undoubtedly been playing with his heart.
When he initially found out about Katie’s death, Aaron was convinced by scheming Robert that it was a horrible accident – leaving him riddled with guilt by the weight of yet another secret.
But Aaron knows the truth now. Add this to Robert’s threat on his former stepfather Paddy, and who knows how far Aaron will go?
Chas Dingle
Chas is like a lioness when it comes to protecting her loved-ones. She hates Robert for the way he treated her son Aaron, and has tried many times to put a stop to their affair.
But next week Chas will find out that Robert was responsible for her best friend Katie’s death, and she’ll be seen warning him to leave the village if he values his life…
Cain Dingle
Also very protective of his family is Cain. After discovering the gruesome truth about Katie’s demise, Chas will tell Cain that she wants Robert gone – for good.
We all know Cain is no stranger to violent outbursts, and he’s had run-ins with Robert before, so it’s highly likely he’ll be prepared to pick up a gun to help his sister out.
Paddy Kirk
He may not seem like the type to get involved with such violence, but Paddy has been pushed to his limits by evil Robert.
As well as being threatened by him, Paddy almost died at the hands of Robert TWICE this year.
Paddy is also still extremely close to his former stepson Aaron, and this adds to his hatred for Robert. It seems highly unlikely, but Paddy could be the one to rid the Village of Robert for good.
Lawrence White
Robert has gone up against his father-in-law before, and Lawrence’s hate for Chrissie’s husband only grew when he found out about his affair with Aaron.
But next week Lawrence will finally discover Robert hired rent boy Connor to falsely accuse him of assault, so we wouldn’t blame him for wanting him dead.
Lachlan White
Emmerdale fans already know Lachlan has a dark side, after he sexually assaulted Alicia Metcalfe earlier this year.
Lachlan and Robert once got on great – but that all changed when he found out how his stepfather had treated his mother.
Is Lachlan’s dark side about to make a sinister reappearance?
Eric Pollard
He’s heartbroken over the loss of Val, and understandably blames Chrissie for his wife’s horrific death.
The court case is looming and, although he wants to see Chrissie pay for what she’s done, it wouldn’t be a huge shock if Eric decides to take something from her…
Something like, say, her husband’s life?
Who do you think will pull the trigger?
