Emmerdale viewers were pretty chuffed when they found out that their very own Adam Thomas (who plays Adam Barton) was heading to the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Camp and it seems like the whole entire cast of Emmerdale have got behind him too.
The popular character, who will take a break from the dales to star in the back-to-basics reality show, will star alongside Larry Lamb, Scarlett Moffatt and Carol Vorderman to try and get his hands on that jungle crown.
Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain, reckons that we’re ‘all going to fall in love’ with Adam on the show and he could even become a national treasure.
Speaking to Closer and others at a recent Emmerdale press event, he said: "I think he's going to be amazing. He is the nicest person. He's just a happy soul. He's the kind of person that you just want around you all of the time.
"He's a great presence and he really brings sunshine to everyone's life. Like I said before, I think that bloke will be a national treasure after this programme, because he's so lovely and so likeable."
But would Jeff ever follow in Adam’s footsteps? Maybe in his own version of the show:
“I'd like the challenge of doing something like that but just not in front of the cameras. I like my own private life, as it is, do you know what I mean?”
Given that Adam has declared that he 'is scared of everything', we're even more excited to see him squirm in the jungle!
