Emmerdale's#NoReturn week has impressed viewers yet again with ANOTHER episode full of twists and turns - this time focusing on Emma and James Barton.
With a much more spookier theme, Emma's increasingly unstable behaviour made for frightening viewing and included many references to Stephen King's horror Misery. Seriously, Emmerdale is SO GOOD this week.
We saw James Barton finally make his bid for freedom - knocking Emma over the head with a wine bottle - and limping his way out into the woods.
As James collapsed to the ground and screamed for help, his ordeal was definitely not over as Emma emerged through the mist – will James be lucky enough to escape her clutches again?
Emmerdale fans were quick to praise Gillian Kearney's performance as the deranged Emma, with many taking to Twitter to admit that they were pretty freaked out by the whole episode:
We're already anticipating another showdown between the pair as the week comes to a close, with both Emma and James facing the possibility of being killed off in the soaps MEGA #NoReturn week - that will finish with a funeral on Friday.
And with the events of the past few days (especially the TWO car crashes that could possibly all be interlinked) leaving many to question how many lives really do hang in the balance.
