Maisie Williams is reportedly a big Ed Sheeran fan

Everyone's favourite ginger balladeer Ed Sheeran can add acting to his list of talents, as it's been announced that he'll make a cameo on Game Of Thrones.

During a panel at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas on Sunday, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed the the singer would appear in a future episode.

“For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie, and this year we finally did it,” said Benioff.

Further details of his character haven't been revealed, so it remains to be seen whether or not there'll be any romance between him and Maisie's character, Arya Stark.

Fans seemed happy with the news anyway, but given the show's reputation for death and gore, some worried that Ed was in danger of being killed off.

Guess we'll have to wait until season 7 premieres on July 16 to find out...
