Danny Dyer's long awaited return to EastEnders is imminent - and it won't be without drama

Danny Dyer will make his much anticipated return to Albert Square next week after his extended break from the soap to 'sort out his life'. The 39-year-old actor took some time off from the trials and tribulations of Walford after too much partying. He went to South Africa to recover from exhuastion and look how much the break has agreed with him.

Our pics show a slimmed down Mick back in the Vic, looking very much at home in his rightful place. But don't expect his return to the show to be without its share of dramas. Not that you were.

Mick returns from Bulgaria where he's been visitin daughter, Nancy, who's been involved in a car crash, and is kept in the dark about Shirley and Linda selling the pub freehold to get them out of debt.

Viewers know that Shirley was manipulated into selling the freehold by a vengeful Max Branning. So what's Mick going to make of Woody Woodward managing the pub and sacking barmaid Tracey?

And what will he do when he discovers Linda and Shirley have gone behind his back and forged his signature on forms to sell the freehold?

And, what we all want to know, is he going to embark on an affair with daughter-in-law, Whitney? So many questions, Mick!
