Harry Reid’s character recently divided viewers of the BBC One soap when he and boyfriend Paul Coker [Jonny Labey] had a rendezvous in a chapel of rest – next to an open casket.

But now Harry, 23, wants Ben to attempt to turn straight Dean Wicks [Matt Di Angelo] gay – and we don’t blame him.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Harry said: “Do you know what I’d love to see? I’d love it if Ben went after an older straight guy and tried to turn him.

“Someone like Dean would be a good one to target. It would be an amazing storyline.”

While we can’t see Dean falling for Ben’s ‘charms’, there’s no doubt it would be satisfying to see him in some uncomfortable scenes after his shocking storyline with Linda Carter.

As viewers know, Dean raped Mick Carter’s wife last year and, although her world was turned upside down, he’s still denying his crime.

Harry also discussed gay actors playing straight roles, insisting it’s not fair for anyone to be deprived the chance.

He continued: “I’ve had some great feedback from the gay community about how I play Ben.

“I’m a straight guy playing a gay role. There is no reason why it can’t work the other way around.”
