It’s EastEnders’ biggest-ever ‘whodunnit’ and it will run until February 2015 to coincide with the show’s 30th anniversary.

And, even now that Ian and his family are desperately trying to come to terms with her death, we still have no idea who murdered Lucy Beale.

But, with more and more online sleuths attempting to uncover the identity of Lucy's killer, we've definitely got plenty of conspiracy theories to wade through.

This one, offered to the masses by The Metro's Vicky Prior, definitely has some weight to it…

Does Terry have a dark side?

She said: *"An eagle eyed friend of mine has suggested the killer is Terry Spraggan. *

"I laughed initially, but remember when Morgan had that nightmare about the bad man being outside? The next scene was Terry looking at the Butcher house, followed by a shot of Lucy."

We remember that, actually - and it was pretty chilling at the time.

She added: "Was this clever misdirection by EastEnders, or will Terry emerge as the murderous defender of Whitney’s honour, after Lucy stole her man?"

Terry does have connections with several of the suspects; he's friends with Max Branning (well, he's dating Max's niece), his son is the father of Cindy beale's baby-to-be and he is close to Bianca's daughter Whitney.

But is that enough to make him a killer?

One person who DOESN'T agree with the theory is Terry Alderton, who plays Spraggan.

He revealed on Twitter: "So, I'm leaving EastEnders in July. Unfortunately Patsy leaving has changed things in the story. It's very sad but it's been a great ride.

"Terry Spraggan's not the killer […] or is he?"

We just don't know what to make of any of this anymore…
