Clearly it was all too good to be true when Steven Beale returned from New Zealand with his new place as Lauren's boyfriend - and a complete personality transplant. Since then, he's been keeping his nose squeaky clean, but we never forget what's happened before. And neither do the 'Enders writers. It was only a matter of time before his mask slipped...
We've already seen sinister Steven puncture holes in his own condoms, in an attempt to get Lauren pregnant against her will.
His campaign of control continues next week when he researches ways to track Lauren via her mobile.
Abi continues to plant doubts in Steven's mind and these are quickly justified when Josh brings Lauren home from work because she's feeling unwell.
Steven then asks Josh to stay for dinner, leading to an awkward situation for Lauren and Josh.
Especially when another guest shows up and takes a shine to Josh herself.
