The Coker’s have one more thing to deal with before they both leave EastEnders - leaving their home and a whole loads of horrible memories behind them – the court hearing and trial of their grandson Paul Coker’s killers.

In emotional scenes, Pam, Les and Ben Mitchell are seen anxiously waiting in the gallery of the plea, where they wait to hear if there will be a full murder trial or not. One of the malicious killers, Simon, seems to be thinking about pleading not guilty so Pam brings it upon herself to visit his mum, Diane against the wishes of Les and Ben.

Pam decides to bring Kathy Beale along to meet Diane, hoping to find answers about why Simon committed such a horrific hate crime – but will her actions effect the outcome of the trial?

Lin Blakley, who plays Pam, told Radio Times: "Pam wants to see what sort of woman she must be to have brought up a son like that.

"It's a horrible thing to have such homophobia in this day and age. And Pam wants to be able to turn around and say to Kathy, 'See? I told you she'd be a nasty woman.' But Pam might just be in for a shock."

And with Les not happy that with his wife meddling in such important matters, will their relationship survive more lies?

Les has told Pam that she mustn't do this because she'd be jeopardising the whole case. But Pam goes ahead and does it anyway. And when Les and Ben discover what she'd done, it really does drive a wedge between them.
