Will Lee Carter's infidelity finally be revealed?

Just when Whitney Dean's dreams of becoming a mother had finally come true, she's dealt a devastating blow when she's told she has contracted chlamydia.

In recent episodes of EastEnders, we've seen an ecstatic Whitney try and tell Lee that he's going to be a father, as well as doubting herself that Lee may not be ready.

And looks like the latter option may just be true, as Lee's one-night stand with Abi Branning could have consequently put their unborn baby in danger.

Thankfully, the doctor tells Whitney that they've caught the infection just in time, but it could have been so much worse.

Fans of the BBC One soap know that when Lee had his recent one-night stand with Abi, she had picked up chlamydia from her then-boyfriend Ben Mitchell.

Will Whitney put two and two together and figure it all out?

Danny-Boy Hatchard, who plays Lee, told Radio Times about his character's big secret:

"Lee's not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to something as dynamic as, ‘OK, I’ve had sex with this person and she could potentially have chlamydia’. I don't think he looks into it that much and, at first, he doesn't think about it.

"But then it begins to dawn on him quite quickly. I think there are a thousand different things that are going through his head at that point, but obviously that is the worst possible thing!"

These scenes are due to air this week on EastEnders.
