As many EastEnders fans will already know, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and Lee Carter (Danny-Boy Hatchard) have managed to maintain a happy relationship amidst all the misery of Albert Square.
"She starts to feel a real part of the Carters. They make her feel safe"
And it seems as if Whitney, bless her, is reaping the positive benefits of having a strong woman in her life.
Yup, Shona has revealed to the Daily Star that her character is, like many viewers, absolutely bowled over by Lee’s amazing mum Linda (Kellie Bright) - and it’s set to change her as a person.
She said: "She starts to feel a real part of the Carters. They make her feel safe. They all have each other's backs and she wants that.
"She starts looking up to Linda Carter more. She sees this strong woman who's been through so much.
"Whitney's going to change, get more classy and more grown up. She needs to lose the hoop earrings!"
Shona also hinted that Whitney and Lee might be taking their commitment a little further, insisting that wedding bells can’t be too far away for the duo.
She said: "I think she's definitely found love with Lee. I'd love to get married in EastEnders."
They’d best join the back of the queue; we’re still desperately waiting to see Linda and Mick (Danny Dyer) tie the knot this year!
EastEnders continues tonight (Thursday 21st May) at 7.30pm - will you be watching?
