Because, even though he is engaged to Sharon Rickman, Phil Mitchell will end up back in bed with his former flame Shirley Carter.
Phil might have been trying to move his and Sharon’s wedding date closer, but that doesn’t stop him engaging in steamy sessions with Shirley all over the Square.
A source told the Daily Star: “Shirley and Phil know each everything about each other, good and bad, it’s part of their attraction.
“They feel like they can be themselves with each other. Add to that, they are both protecting each other. Phil knows Shirley is really Mick Carter’s mum and Shirley knows Phil ordered the attack on The Albert that put Sharon in hospital.
“Now they are having an affair – another lie they are sharing. But how long can they keep it?”
We’re sure Sharon won’t be too bothered if she finds out about her fiancé’s affair: she’s currently plotting his downfall after discovering the truth behind the attack.
