During the hour-long episode of the EastEnders 30th anniversary special, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) discovered Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) holding his daughter Nancy (Maddy Hill) hostage in the Queen Vic's cellar.

Mick, desperate to keep his daughter safe from Linda's rapist, flew at his brother in a violent rage - leaving Dean apparently lifeless on the floor.

But, when he and Nancy later returned to the cellar, they found that Dean - or Dean's body - had mysteriously disappeared… leading Nancy to suspect her father of murdering the salon owner and disposing of the evidence.

And now it seems as if we could be about to find out the truth about what happened that night…

Yup, a party at The Vic grinds to a halt when police arrive to deliver Shirley some worrying news about her missing son.

While Shirley refuses to believe what officers are telling her, Nancy quickly realises that Linda (Kellie Bright) must have lied to her about speaking to Dean on the phone.

Eventually Shirley is encouraged by her family to go along to the hospital.

And, when Mick refuses to accompany his sister-turned-mum in her hour of need, Nancy goes with her instead… causing Mick and Linda to panic.

Will Nancy tell Shirley the truth about what happened to her son?

EastEnders airs these scenes on Monday, March 2 at 8pm on BBC One.
