She and fiancé Kush Kazemi will discover that their unborn baby has died, and Shabnam has to give birth to body.
Now Rakhee Thakrar has revealed a devastated Shabnam will blame herself for their tragic loss.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, Rakhee, 31, said: "The news absolutely floors Shabnam. The guilt settles in hard and fast. It was her body, and even though it isn't her fault, Shabnam blames herself.
"There's also a lot of anger. Her world has stopped yet people are still smiling, going to work, carrying on with their lives, and she wants to scream at them all to stop. The sadness is unbearable – all she wants to do is hold her baby."
Viewers will know this isn't the first time Shabnam has lost a child. Seven years ago a one night stand with Dean Wicks [Matt Di Angelo] resulted in her falling pregnant and giving birth to their daughter.
But Shabnam, worried about the consequences it would have for her and her family, abandoned the little girl. Now to be told she has to have a stillbirth tears her apart.
Rakhee continued: "Filming those scenes was incredibly emotional, but everyone on set was so sensitive and supportive to one another.
"The atmosphere in the studio was very focused, and there was a wonderful midwife on hand to assure the contractions and labour scenes were handled in the correct manner."
Although she's unsure of the outcome, Rakhee added that she hopes Shabnam and Kush can get through their heartbreak together.
