EastEnders fans were left stunned when, in Friday (22 Jan)’s explosive episode, Ryan Malloy made a shock return to Albert Square.
After receiving a worried call from his sister, Whitney, Ryan (Neil McDermott) arrived at the Queen Vic under the cover of darkness.
And he had just one thing on his mind; his daughter, Lily.
In tonight’s episode, we will watch as Whitney (Shona McGarty) allows her brother to spend more time with his daughter - without the consent or knowledge of Lily’s mother, Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner), who was recently sectioned due to her struggle with postpartum psychosis.
But Stacey’s reaction to Lily and Ryan’s budding relationship isn’t the only thing Whitney needs to worry about.
Her brother is currently on the run for killing Rob Grayson - and, by spending time in Walford, he’s taking a massive risk.
What will happen if the residents of Albert Square learn that Ryan is back?
And will Ryan be able to control his feelings and do what’s best for Lily - or is there a danger that he could spirit his daughter away with him when he makes his next big disappearance?
An EastEnders insider told us exclusively: “Ryan makes a brief return to the Square but it’s not plain sailing.
“He’s going to find himself in some difficult situations and it’s going to cause a lot of drama for Whitney!
“She reached out to him for the sake of Lily and didn’t really think about the consequences.”
Yikes!
EastEnders airs these scenes tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
