As EastEnders fans will already be well aware, Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) isn’t the most popular woman to ever grace Walford.
From kidnap to murder, she’s ticked off a lot of crimes over the years - so it makes sense that she has a lot of enemies.
But, over the past few weeks, we’ve watched as someone has lurked in the shadows keeping an eye on Ronnie’s house.
Recently they made their intentions VERY clear when they placed a wreath reading ‘RIP Ronnie Mitchell’ on her front gate.
Yikes!
So who is it?
Well, a lot of fans have suggested that it could be her estranged husband, Charlie Cotton, who famously fled Walford last year when Ronnie and Vincent teamed up to scare him off.
We know he has bad blood running through his veins - he’s the son of NICK COTTON, for goodness sake - and he definitely has a reason to want Ronnie dead.
Mainly because…
-
She ran him out of town
-
He feels as if he can never return home to his nan, Dot
-
She has his son, Matthew, in her grips.
We know that he’s too scared to come back to Walford, following his conversation with Roxy, so it makes sense that he’d lurk in the shadows, too.
He obviously wouldn’t want to be seen by either Ronnie or Vincent.
Could he be back to put the frighteners into Ronnie, just as she did to him, and get his son back?
Or does he have a far more deadly scheme in mind…?

So how likely is it that Charlie is back for revenge?
Well, as always, anything can happen in Walford.
However we do know that Declan Bennett is pretty busy at the moment, having just signed up to play the titular role of Jesus Christ Superstar at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre this summer.
Timothy Sheader, the show’s artistic director, recently said: "Casting the iconic roles of Jesus and Henry V was about finding voices which would foster a new engagement with the stories.
"Declan's music background brings a particular skill set and authenticity to this gig-like production of the show, and his past stage work... makes his Jesus a particularly exciting prospect."
The production will run from 15 July – 27 August 2016.
We guess that Declan could squeeze a quick return to BBC One’s EastEnders in amongst his rehearsals.
However, as fans of the soap will know, Ronnie has a lot of enemies - and Charlie is just the tip of the iceberg.
Who else could be out for revenge?
