And it's all to do with Lucy Beale.

Yup, as the Carters are preparing for bed after the bash, Mick (Danny Dyer) is shocked to hear Lee drunkenly mumbling about how he did something stupid connected to Lucy.

The next morning, Lee disappears and Mick and Linda's suspicions grow.

Exact details of what Lee has to say are being kept under wraps, but Linda is especially concerned about her son's confession.

"She is worried for Lee and how it's going to look for him. And she doesn't think he should go to the police either," actress Kellie Bright told the Radio Times.

Speaking about the possibility of Lee being involved in Lucy's demise, Danny-Boy Hatchard added to Digital Spy: "The likelihood is - and potentially the way they're going to run it - is that Lee is a suspect.

"Whether he's the killer, I don't know. And nobody knows. The way the writers are working is very clever."

EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday, July 10 at 7.30pm and Friday, July 11 at 8pm on BBC One.
